Committees

Board of Directors

WTBA is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors representing all sectors of the construction industry.  The Board meets semi-monthly.

 

Executive Committee

Association budget, personnel and other management responsibilities are overseen by WTBA officers and its immediate past president.

 

Legislative Committee

This committee monitors legislative initiatives and directs the Association’s political efforts.

 

Environmental Committee

This committee meets regularly to discuss and monitor a range of environmental issues impacting transportation construction.  Membership is open to any WTBA member.

 

Safety Committee

Comprised primarily of company safety directors, this committee focuses primarily on OSHA and work zone safety issues.  Membership is open to any WTBA member.

 

WTBA of Tomorrow

This 7-member board administers the Association’s Scholarship Program and organizes events to foster a better understanding of key issues among younger industry professionals.

 

Associate Member Council

This 9-member council of representatives from Associate Member companies works on the participation and involvement of Associate Members in WTBA including sponsorship and developing/supporting networking opportunities such as WTBA’s Annual Golf Outing.

 

Consulting Council

This 8-member council of representatives from Associate Member consulting engineering firms works on contract administration and other construction-related issues.
